AI Today ("AI Today", "the App", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected, used, stored, and shared when you use features such as daily AI news, AI Insight, favorites, voting, AI discussion, feedback, and push notifications.
This policy describes the data practices of the current version of the App and is not legal advice. If we later add ads, analytics, third-party sign-in, subscriptions, payments, or other features, we will update this policy accordingly.

2. How We Use Information
To provide, maintain, and improve core App features, including news, AI Insight, favorites, voting, AI discussion, feedback, and push notifications.
To authenticate you, maintain your session, and sync account-related content across devices.
When you actively use AI discussion, to send the required Insight context, recent conversation history, and your input to an AI service provider so a reply can be generated.
To process feedback you submit and contact you if you provide an email address.
To maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and comply with applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
3. Important Note About AI Discussion
When you use the "Discuss with AI" feature, the App sends the current Insight title and content, required system instructions, recent conversation history, and your latest message to the DeepSeek API. DeepSeek returns a response that is displayed in the App.
If you are signed in, your discussion messages and AI replies may be stored in Supabase to provide discussion history and cross-device sync. Please do not enter sensitive personal information, passwords, payment information, health information, or anything else you do not want processed by the AI discussion feature.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to provide App functionality. These services may process information according to their own privacy policies:
Supabase
Used for database hosting, authentication, session management, favorites, votes, feedback, and discussion history.
We do not sell your personal information and do not use your personal information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. Third-party SDKs such as OneSignal may process device, network, notification, and usage-related information to provide their services; we do not configure these services in the App for advertising tracking purposes.
5. Permissions
Notifications: Used to send daily AI news updates or service-related notifications. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.
Photo library write access: Used only when you actively save a share image. The App does not read your photo library.
Remote notification background mode: Used for system push-notification capability. It does not mean the App collects additional personal information in the background.
6. Data Storage and Retention
Account information: Managed by Supabase Auth and retained according to its service rules. Passwords are handled by the authentication service; the App does not store your password in plain text.
Favorites, votes, and discussion history: Usually retained until you delete the relevant content, delete your account, or request deletion.
Feedback data: Usually retained until the issue is handled or you request deletion. We may retain historical feedback for a reasonable period to troubleshoot recurring issues.
Push tokens: Managed by OneSignal. If you disable notifications, opt out, uninstall the App, or the token expires, the relevant status is updated according to OneSignal's mechanisms.
Local data: Language preferences and necessary cache are stored on your device; sign-in sessions may be stored in iOS Keychain by the Supabase SDK.
7. Your Choices and Rights
You can choose not to create an account. Without signing in, you may still browse public news and Insights, but favorites, voting, discussion history sync, and related features may be unavailable.
You can disable notifications for AI Today in iOS Settings.
You can submit feedback without providing an email address; however, we may not be able to reply.
You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of account data, feedback, favorites, votes, or discussion history related to you. To protect account security, we may need to verify your identity.
You can sign out in the App. Signing out does not automatically delete account data already stored in the cloud.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including authentication, access control, and transport encryption capabilities provided by our third-party cloud services. However, no method of Internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure.
9. International Processing
The third-party services used by the App may process or store data outside your country or region. By using the App, you understand that relevant data may be transferred to other jurisdictions and may be subject to local laws and third-party service terms.
10. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
11. Content Disclaimer
AI Today aggregates, organizes, and summarizes public AI information and provides AI-generated discussion replies. Content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute investment, legal, medical, or other professional advice. We work to improve accuracy, but we do not guarantee completeness, accuracy, or timeliness.
12. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. If changes are material, we will provide notice where reasonably appropriate, such as in the App or through other means.
